It was Mia's turn to take Lilly, the class frog, home for the weekend. At first Mia was a little scared of Lilly. She thought she was going to turn into a giant frog and Mia is not a fan of lifesize animals. When she saw that Lilly would stay small, they became good pals.
She read Lilly a book about the Phillies, watched the game together, taught her how to make a castle with blocks, and read her some books.
She fed Lilly a vitamin each morning, had storytime with Kayla and Lilly, and built Lilly a fort so they could rest together.
They enjoyed wagon rides together.
Then Lilly took a trip to Giant with us to buy the ingredients for a brown sugar glazed apple cake that she helped bake. Mia had a fun weekend with Lilly and then took her back to the classroom.
