Twinkle Toes

Mia has always been our little dancer.  She just loves it.  She comes up with the best dance moves and wants everyone around her to join in on her dance numbers.

She enjoys all types of music and adjusts her moves to fit the songs (funny to watch).

The day before Mia's dance class we were talking about what it might be like...she told me, "I hope they have a microphone for me." She loves to perform.

Kayla was excited to watch the girls dance and kept trying to run onto the dance floor to join in on the fun.  Mia was a little nervous for class to start but excited too.

Mia's dance class is once a week for 45 minutes.  In that time they do a combination of ballet, tap, creative movement and tumbling.  They have holiday dances, bring a friend for partner dance and other special activities throughout the year.

The waiting room is right off the dance floor and we loved watching her.  We like that there is also a part of the room that is out of view but that displays the class on tv if the kids are distracted by us watching them.

Mia did a great job at her first class.   She was distracted at times and in her own world checking herself out in the mirror, so the teacher kindly took her spot right next to Mia for a little.  For the most part she paid attention and tried her best.  We were surprised at how much she could pick up.

Daddy was really paying attention and was practicing ballet moves with Mia after class.  You should see his twirls.

Mia made some new friends and learned some new moves.  After class she told me.... "Mom, that was awesome."  She didn't want to leave and is excited for her next class.
