On Tuesday, Mia and I attended her preschool orientation. She was eager to meet her teachers and see her new classroom. When she woke up in the morning she had so many questions about what school would be like.
We made a pencil vase bouquet for her classroom. When we were finished making it, she said to me "more crafts mommy"... that's my girl :) I know making crafts will be one of her favorite parts of school.
Mia got her new pony backpack on and was ready to go!
Kayla, on the other hand, wasn't as excited to be away from Mia.
Mia gave her one last hug and then reminded me on the instructions on how to take care of Kayla while she was gone.
It was a rainy day so Mia got to take her umbrella (one of her most favorite things). On our way she sang to me "Hurry mommy, we don't want to be late... I'm so excited, I just can't wait!"
The orientation went well. Mia has two very nice and funny teachers and a fun classroom. She was a little shy at first and wanted to sit with me but then felt more comfortable and was playing with some of her classmates. When it was time to leave, she wanted to stay. She is excited to start on Thursday. She keeps telling us that she will go by herself, and then asks us to come with her. Kayla and I wouldn't mind that :) but we know she'll love it. We are all excited for her about so many things as she starts her first year of school.
