Take me out to the ball game

It was the day of Mia and Kayla's first Philadelphia Phillies game so we had a baseball theme day...

with a little help from our Phanatic and our Phillies book.

Kayla was up before Mia so she helped me get everything ready for when Mia woke up.

When Mia woke up we had a baseball breakfast... (yes, yogurt again...our girls love it) yogurt and some cereal to make a baseball.  While we ate breakfast we also colored the baseball player craft.

After nap we finished the craft...Mia and her finished ball player!

Then it was time to get ready for the game. Mia was excited to go to her first Philadelphia Phillies game.  Earlier in the week GiGi and Bear got her a book and cd to help her learn "Take me out to the ball game".  She learned it and is still singing it to us.  She told us she was most looking forward to the seeing the Phanatic at the game.  But....."not up close, and I don't want him coming to my house."  She has similar feelings about the Easter Bunny and Santa.

Kayla was excited too.

The view from our seats....thanks Uncle David!

Mia really enjoyed the game and sat in her seat almost the whole time we were there.  She loved checking out the ballpark and watching the game. She asked a lot of questions and payed attention to everything that was going on. "Wow, that was a great hit!  It went over the fence!"

Kayla was much less interested in the game and even less interested in staying in her seat :)  We spent most of our time here...

She loved this play area.

But she did manage to see some of the game and cheer the Phillies on from this seat.

Mia told us her favorite part of the game was when "The phanatic was riding his tricycle with no clothes on."

The Phillies beat the Mets 9-4... Go Phillies!
