We had a surprise birthday party in Baltimore on Saturday night so we decided to head down early to spend the day at the Baltimore Aquarium.
However, when we got there the aquarium was so crowded that they weren't allowing anyone in until four hours later so we came up with a plan b. It was too hot to just walk around but a few blocks away we came across the Port Discovery Children's Museum so we spent the day there. We loved the Inner Harbor and are anxious to make a trip back there very soon to check out the attractions and will pre order our aquarium tickets online next time.
Right outside the museum was a fountain. It was a hot day and Mia could have spent the whole day playing by the fountain. We spent a lot of time there until we encouraged Mia to come and try the museum.
We changed Mia into some dry clothes and headed into the museum. Our first stop was the Paint Yourself Silly exhibit. Mia loves to paint so this was perfect for her.
Who knew Jason was such an artist? Here is his family portrait :)Our next stop was the recording studio. The girls patiently waited for their turn to be on stage.
When it was their turn, Mia sang the abc's with Kayla as her back up dancer.Kayla was excited that she was finally old enough to join in on all the fun.
We spent the rest of the day trying out all the activities.
Baltimore, we'll be back soon :)
