Family Furniture

I have always wanted to try and refinish furniture. We were given two pieces of old furniture recently so I bought some paint and sandpaper and got to work.

This bookshelf is from Jason's parents.

This dresser was Aunt Jill's.

I sanded the edges of the furniture to give them an antique look.

We now have them in our living room. I have some more sandpapering to do and then some decorating and they'll be complete.

Next up is a desk, chair, and nightstand (to be used as desk stuff storage) for the girls.  It was used by my mom's four brothers and then my brother.  It'll soon be pink and girly of course :)

We love having this memorable and special family furniture in our house.
