Mia's First Day of Kindergarten

{Mia's First Day of Kindergarten}

On August 26th Mia had her first day of kindergarten at her new school.
She was very excited to be a kindergartner!

Mia's latest career choice is a doctor.
 In the last few weeks she's expressed interest in becoming
 a mail lady, singer on a stage and a preschool teacher as well.

Mia brought in a new water bottle for her teacher.
Her teacher needs to stay hydrated and energized taking care of those active kindergartners!

Mia's first kindergarten homework assignment was to decorate a brown paper bag and put inside it something that she loves.  Our little performer chose a microphone of course and decorated her bag with her hobbies. Crafts and singing are Mia's top two favorites.

Homework complete!

{First Day of Kindergarten}
August 26, 2013

Mia had an awesome first day and we were very proud of her and excited for her.  She loved riding the bus and telling us all about her big day.

      Kayla was excited for her big sister as well.  She was happy to take Mia to the bus stop and waved and blew kisses as the bus pulled away.  We got home from the bus stop and Kayla and I weren't quite sure what to do next.  I asked her "Kayla what should we do now?"  She said, "Let's go pick up Mia."  Mia had a wonderful first day.  It was a very long day for Kayla and I but Kayla did great and we started a new routine.  We kept watching the clock and wondering what Mia was doing at school.  Kayla and I were very excited to see that bus pull in!  Mia got off the bus and told us all about her first day.  She loves her teacher and new school and has made lots of new nice friends.  We love getting her off the bus and hearing all about her days.  She loves coming home and getting right down to her homework (we're curious to see how long this lasts).  She also makes up homework for Kayla so they can both do homework together. Kayla will be ready for kindergarten in no time thanks to Mia.  Mia's excitement was contagious on the first day of school and therefore everyone was happy and tear free!
