I have a hard time parting with my daughters' old clothes and the memories they hold. This one was one of my favorites. I love the colors and ruffles. It's a onesie and now too small for Kayla but I wanted to repurpose it somehow.
I cut the top and bottom off of the onesie and kept the big pieces to make a hair accessory. I used the middle ruffle portion and pinned it to an old white tee. Then I used my sewing machine and stitched across where I pinned the ruffles and tee together and made this...
A new dress for Kayla. It's a bit crooked, I still have a lot to learn and will
try a different technique next time.
With the leftover fabric I made her a matching hair clippie and now she is ready for spring!
