Today we took Mia to her first Easter Egg Hunt. We had been practicing inside and outside our house to prepare. At first she would pick up an egg and want to open it before picking up any others. Then she would pick up an egg, look at us and say "thank you" before picking up any others (too cute). She would thank us after each egg.
Practice round before we leftWe headed off to the hunt. On the way Mia insisted that she wear mommy's sunglasses upsidedown. We picked up GiGi and Gramps.
Before the hunt we visited with the Easter Bunny. Mia was a little hesitant at first but sat on his lap and then kept saying "bunny" and wanting to go back and visit again.
Mia was anxious for the egg hunt to begin and once it did...she was off! She did an egg-cellent job picking up eggs and putting them in her basket. She got cookies and goldfish, free ice cream coupons and got a ticket that said "bear" and won a teddy bear. We went to the craft table and Mia decorated a foam egg and then went to play on the playground. At the hunt Mia got to see her friends Evie, Audrey and Avery. She had a really fun time and so did we.
We then headed out to get lunch and our free Rita's to celebrate the arrival of Spring. Mia spent the day and had a sleepover party at GiGi and Gramps' house while we went shopping for shrubs, did some planting and had a relaxing night. Thanks GiGi and Gramps!
